This specimen was lot 2185 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''NIEDERLANDE Westfriesland Silberdukat 1677. Glatter Rand. Sehr schön.'' (Netherlands, province of Westfriesland, silver ducat of 1677, plain edge, very fine.)"</blockquote> Silver ducats were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. The basic type runs 1659-1794. This subtype was struck 1673-78 along with lion daalders ([[Westfriesland 1648 Daalder Dav-4870|Dav-4870]]), rijksdaalder ([[Westfriesland 1649 rijksdaalder Dav-4842|Dav-4842]]), ducatons (Dav-4941) and three gulden (Dav-4961).
