This specimen was lot 2538 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €260 (about US$329 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''NEDERLAND, UTRECHT, Provincie, AR zilveren dukaat, 1794. Vz/ Staande ridder r. met zwaard en provinciewapen. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Licht gereinigd. bijna Prachtig.'' ([[Netherlands]], [[Netherlands, Utrecht|province of Utrecht]], silver ducat of 1794. Obverse: standing knight with sword and provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Lightly cleaned, about extremely fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1739-94. Half silver ducats exist. The Utrecht mint is still in operation, striking euros. 

''Recorded mintage:'' 182,000 for 1793-94. The 1794 is a better date.

''Specification:'' 28.25 g, 0.873 fine silver, this specimen 27,82 g.
