This specimen was lot 1102 in Jean Elsen sale 115 (Brussels, December 2012) where it sold for €650 (about US$992 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''THORN, Abdij, Margaretha van Brederode (1557-1577), AR daalder, 1557, Met titel van Keizer Karel. Droit: MARGAR[ETA] D BREDROD AB FVND SE THOER Gehelmd wapenschild met vier leeuwen. Revers: CAROLVS V ROMA IMPERA SEMP AVGVST Gekroonde rijksarend. Zeldzaam. Lichte dubbelslag. Ex HSA 6930.
