This specimen was lot 1714 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,900 (about US$2,644 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, SALZBURG, ERZBISTUM, Ferdinand, 1803-1806. Dukat 1805. GOLD. R Prachtexemplar. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz.'' (archbishopric of [[Austria, Salzburg|Salzburg]], Ferdinand, 1803-06, ducat of 1805. Choice, Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"</blockquote> The archbishopric of Salzburg was secularized in 1803 and its rule handed over to a Hapsburg archduke, Ferdinand. In 1813, the state was annexed to Austria, which rules it to this day. This scarce type was  struck 1805-06.
