This specimen was lot 3035 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €700 (about US$919 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS KARL V., 1520-1556. Prägungen aus der zweiten Regensburger Münzperiode von 1535 bis 1551 nach der österreichisch-bayerischen Münzordnung vom 1. Februar 1535. Guldiner 1547, mit Titel Karls V. Münzmeister Martin Walch. Beckenbauer 2104; [[Silver crowns by Davenport number|Dav-9682]]; Slg. Bach (Auktion Künker 238) 4531. Hübsche Patina, kl. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön +.'' ([[German States, Regensburg|city of Regensburg]], guldiner of 1547, struck in the name of Charles V. Handsome patina, planchet defects, very fine or better.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1535, 1538-39 and 1547-49 and is actually fairly affordable for a sixteenth century thaler. By the end of the century, the gulden would have slipped from one thaler to 5/6 thaler.
