This specimen was lot 3224 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €400 (about US$557 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich (III.) I. 1701-1713. Mariengroschen 1705, BH, Minden. Prägung für das Fürstentum Minden. Mit großem Monogramm.  Münzmeister Bastian Hille. RR Fast sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 18, Osnabrück 1990, Nr. 1329.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Prussia|kingdom of Prussia]], Frederick I, 1701-13, mariengroschen of 1705, Minden mint, struck for the principality of Minden, with large monogram. Very rare, about very fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck at Minden 1705-06. One thaler was 36 mariengroschen, a denomination better known in neighboring Hannover. The Minden mint struck one, two and four mariengroschen.  The Minden mint served the western holdings of the Hohenzollerns (Cleve, Mark, Gelderland, Lingen and Ravensberg), which mint was moved to Cleve in a later reign.
