This type, issued 1979 from Lima, is part of a series of gold commemoratives honoring Peruvian heroes. This specimen was lot 3781 in Goldberg sale 75 (Los Angeles, September 2013), where it sold for $460(?). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "Peru. 100000 Soles, 1979. Colonel Andres A. Caceres. Brilliant Uncirculated."
