This specimen was lot 957 in Aureo sale 291 (Barcelona, April 2017), where it sold for €2,000 (about US$2,567 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''164(1). Guerra dels Segadors. Olot. 5 rals. Anv.: Armas catalanas entre y . - P(...)D-G-HIS(PAN)AR . Rev.: Roeles con círculos de puntos en 2º y 3er cuartel. -VNIV-ERIT -OLOT-164(1). Felipe IV. Leves manchitas. Ex Colección Balsach. Muy rara. MBC.'' (Olot, War of the Reapers, five reales of 1641, Obverse: crowned arms of Catalonia divide 'V-R'; reverse: rings in second and fourth quarters, pellets in first and third quarters. Very rare, very fine.)"</blockquote> Lluís XIII is better known to history as Louis XIII of [[France]]. During the War of the Pyrenees (ended 1659), the French occupied Catalonia with the collaboration of the locals and struck coins there. This type was struck in Olot 1641 only and is very rare.
