This specimen was lot 790 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $363. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "NORWAY. Haakon VII. 1905-1957. CU-NI 25 Øre. Kongsberg mint. Dated 1923. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 65. Choice uncirculated. Highest ever graded for this type and date. Purchased from M. Louis Teller, August 1981." The silver krone and two kroner were terminated in 1917 and the silver twenty-five and fifty øre in 1919. When coinage of the twenty-five and fifty øre resumed in 1921-23, it was originally without hole. It was recalled and the central hole punched as depicted here.
