This specimen was lot 1593 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 1,100 (about US$1,449 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Taler 1620. Öls. Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön.'' ([[Germany]], duchy of Schlesien-Münsterberg-Oels, thaler of 1620, very fine to good very fine.)"</blockquote> Silesia is considered a German State even tho the province was then under [[Austria]]n rule and is now in [[Poland]]. This type, listed for 1619-20 only, is rare like all the thalers of this locality. The coinage ceased when the last of the local dukes died in 1647. Munsterberg passed to Austria while Oels passed to a junior branch of the duke of Württemberg, who resumed coinage in 1674.
