This specimen was lot 75389 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $65. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Mongolia|MONGOLIA]]. 2 Mongo, Year 15 (1925). Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Mint. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, Unc Details. KM-2. Remarkable detail remains despite the cleaning, which has also revealed splashes of original mint red." This issue, the first for the independent country, was accompanied by [[Mongolia (1925) mongo|one]], [[Mongolia (1925) 5 mongo|five]], [[Mongolia (1925) 10 mongo|ten]], [[Mongolia (1925) 15 mongo|fifteen]], [[Mongolia (1925) 20 mongo|twenty]] and [[Mongolia (1925) 50 mongo|fifty mongo]] and [[Mongolia (1925) tugrik|one tugrik]]. All match the contemporary [[Russia]]n kopeks and rubles. The Communists ruled the nation with Russian support until they were overthrown in 1992. This series has become expensive since it was included in Chinese catalogs.
