This specimen was lot 4141 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €500 (about US$654 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''MANSFELD, MANSFELD-HINTERORTISCHE LINIE, GRAFSCHAFT. Friedrich Christoph allein, 1610-1631. Reichstaler 1622, Eisleben. Feine Patina, sehr schön +.'' ([[Germany]], county of [[German States, Mansfeld|Mansfeld]]-Hinterort, Frederick Christopher, 1610-31, thaler of 1622, Eisleben mint. Fine patina, very fine or better.)"</blockquote> Mansfeld-Eigentliche-Hinterort was a county of utmost insignificance except for its silver mines which provided the material for an abundance of thalers. Duke David ruled 1592-1628 and Frederick Christopher 1609-31; the line went extinct in 1666. This type was struck 1622 only and is somewhat scarce.
