This specimen was lot 3229 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $180. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Poland|POLAND]]: KRAKOW: Free City, AR zloty, 1835, once lightly cleaned and re-toned, About XF, ex Dr. Robert A. Rosenfeld Collection." Wikipedia comments, <blockquote>"The Free City of Cracow, and the Republic of Cracow, was a city republic created by the Congress of Vienna in 1815, which included the Polish city of Cracow and its surrounding areas. It was jointly controlled by its three neighbours ([[Russia]], Prussia, and [[Austria]]), and was a centre of agitation for an independent Poland. In 1846, in the aftermath of the unsuccessful Kraków Uprising, the Free City of Cracow was annexed by the Austrian Empire."</blockquote> All of the coinage of this city is dated 1835.
