This specimen was lot 2104 in Sincona sale 13 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$517 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "DEUTSCHLAND, Kempten, Stadt. Taler 1543. Gutes sehr schön. Ex. Coll. Huntington, Nr. 1500." This type of 1541-49 is rare and expensive. The city was annexed to Bavaria in 1803.
