This specimen was lot 3052 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Japan|JAPAN]]: Meiji, 1868-1912, AE ½ sen, year 6 (1873), semi-prooflike lustrous fields, faint surface hairlines, About Unc, ex Dr. Axel Wahlstedt Collection." This type was struck years 6-10 (1873-77). It was roughly equal to a half cent.
