This specimen was lot 2850 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$452 including buyers' fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"[[Iran|IRAN]] Zand Dynasty, Karim Khan, 1166-1193 AH (1753-1779). 1/4 Mohur Ashrafi 1179 AH (1765), Qazwin Mint. PCGS AU55. ''Das durch PCGS höchstbewertete Exemplar.'' Finest certified by PCGS.)"</blockquote> Karim Khan was the founder and the only effective ruler of the Zands. This quarter mohur is labelled "type C" by the SCWC and is noted for AH 1177-1192.
