This specimen was lot 23 in Sincona sale 92 (Zürich, October 2024), where it sold for 20,000 CHF (about US$27,720 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"[[Iran|IRAN]] Safavid Dynasty, Soltan Hosayn, 1105-1135 AH (1694-1722). 20 Shahi 1107 AH (1695/1696), Isfahan Mint. ''Äusserst selten, unpubliziertes Datum und unpublizierter Typ,'' Extremely rare, unpublished date and type. NGC AU58. Purchased from Spink & Son, London, in 1982. Finest certified by NGC."</blockquote> This type is listed in the SCWC for AH 1109 only. The ten and twenty shahi coins were really too large for Iranian minting technology, so were usually struck only for presentation.
