This specimen was lot 4563 in Künker sale 406 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €750 (about US$984 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. Reichstaler 1693, KB, Kremnitz. Hübsche Patina, fast vorzüglich.'' ([[Austria]], Leopold I, 1657-1705, thaler of 1693, Kremnitz mint. Handsome patina, about extremely fine.)"</blockquote> This type, struck 1681-1700 in many varieties (Dav-3260, [[Hungary 1691-KB thaler Dav-3261|-3261]], -3262, -3262A, -3262B, [[Hungary 1693-KB thaler Dav-3263|-3263]], -3263A, -3264, -3265), is common. This variety, struck 1693-99, is listed as one of the more common thalers of the period. Hungary in 1693 had been freshly reconquered by the [[Austria]]ns from the Turks but was not part of the Empire.
