This specimen was lot 2519 in Sincona sale 87 (Zürich, October 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"GROSSBRITANNIEN Guernsey, Victoria, 1837-1901. 8 Doubles 1858, Soho Mint. ''Vorzüglich-FDC,'' Extremely fine-uncirculated."</blockquote> [[Guernsey]], formerly spelled Guernesey, is one of of the Channel Islands. Its bailiwick traditionally included the islands of Sark and Alderney. This type was struck in 1834 and 1858. Eight doubles = [[Great Britain 1858 penny|one penny]]. Subsequent issues were of reduced weight.
