This specimen was lot 77382 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $105. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Ghana|GHANA]]. 10 Shillings, 1958. London Mint. PCGS PROOF-64. Independence issue." This specimen was minted for [[Ghana]] in 1958 only and was the only issue of sterling coinage before decimalization in 1966. Ghana was a former British colony and was the first sub-Saharan nation (after [[Ethiopia]]) to achieve independence, which occurred in 1957. Kwame Nkrumah, shown on the obverse, was overthrown in a coup in 1966.
