This specimen was lot 2588 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,965 including buyers' fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN AB 1871 · REICHSGOLDMÜNZEN, BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND 200 Euro 2002 J. Übergang zur Währungsunion - Einführung des Euro. 31,10 g Feingold. GOLD. In Originaletui mit Zertifikat. Stempelglanz.'' ([[Germany]], [[Germany, Federal Republic, Euro (2001-Current)|Federal Republic]], 200 euro of 2002, Hamburg mint, for the introduction of the euro. In original box with certificate, uncirculated.)"</blockquote> This NCLT was struck at all five of the republic's mints (A, D, F, G and J). It was accompanied by a half ounce coin ([[Germany 2002-J 100 euro|KM 220]]) theoretically worth 100 euro.
