This specimen was issued by [[Gambia]] in 1971 only. Formerly a British colony embedded in [[Senegal]], a series of sterling coinage was issued for it for one year only in 1966. This was replaced by decimal coinage in 1971, with 100 bututs = 1 dalasis.
