This specimen was lot 3143 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$174 including buyers' fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''SCHWEIZ Freiburg/Fribourg, Stadt und Kanton, Batzen 1648, Freiburg. Nur mindere Jahreszahl (16)48. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich.'' ([[Switzerland]], [[Switzerland, Fribourg|canton of Fribourg]], batzen of 1648, Fribourg mint, with abbrevaited date. Rare in this condition, About Uncirculated.)"</p>
<p>''Das Kapitel Freiburg im Üechtland / Fribourg beinhaltet eine grössere Partie von Scheidemünzen des 17. bis 19. Jahrhunderts, bei denen eine grosse Anzahl Stempelvarianten in vielen Losen zusammengefasst wurden. Der betreffende Sammler hat sich die Mühe gemacht, die Halbbatzen, Schillinge, Kreuzer, Vierer und 2/3 Haller (früher als einseitige Deniers bezeichnet) nach Varianten zu sammeln, und er hat dies auch dokumentiert. So ist eine Arbeit entstanden, welche bis heute noch niemand zusammengestellt hat.'' It is fairly common. One batzen was four kreuzer.
