The first specimen was lot 20154 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $4,080. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[France|FRANCE]]. Agnel d'Or, ND (1st emission, 10 May 1417). Charles VI (1380-1422). NGC MS-64. Struck during the Hundred Years' War. Tied with one other example for finest certified at either NGC or PCGS. Wells struck with good definition of the fine central devices, full legends on the flan though some of the letters are a bit soft. A great example that's lustrous with light attractive tone." The specification reported below is for the first emission; the second emission of October 1417 was reduced to .916 fine gold. Numerous varieties exist as many mints participated. The second specimen was lot 2728 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 4,500 CHF (about US$6,022 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[2]</sup> noted, "FRANKREICH, Charles VI. 1380-1422. Agnel d'or o. J. (2. Emission, 2. Typ, 21.10.1417), Poitiers. In den Winkeln des gespitzten Vierpasses acht schrägliegende kleine Kreuze. ''Äusserst seltene Variante. Vorzüglich-FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung'' (Extremely rare variety, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Magnificent condition)."
