This specimen was lot 50091 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $646. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "FINLAND. 20 Markkaa, 1912-S. NGC MS-65." This type was struck 1879-80, 1891, 1903-04, [[Finland 1910-L 20 markkaa|1910]]-13 to the standard of the French [[France 1911 20 francs|twenty francs]]. Finland obtained her independence from [[Russia]] in 1917-18. Mintmaster "L" (Johan Conrad Lihr) is also noted for 1912 but is very rare.
