This specimen was lot 241 in Classical Numismatic Group's sale of the Lissner Collection (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $90.75. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "ESTONIA, Republic. 1918-1941. AR 2 Krooni. Dated 1930. Toompea Fortress at Tallinn. In NGC encapsulation graded MS 64. Lightly toned over satin surfaces. A choice coin." The specimen shown is an example of a type struck for [[Estonia]] in 1930. Estonia, long occupied by Czarist Russia, obtained its independence in the aftermath of World War One. Reoccupied by the Russians in 1940, she was subject to Soviet rule until 1991, when the collapse of the Communists allowed the Estonians to once again reclaim independence.
