This specimen was lot 3670 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,558 including buyers' fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''KÖLN, ERZBISTUM Friedrich III. von Saarwerden, 1371-1414. Goldgulden o. J. (um 1400), Bonn. Mit am Anfang der Rückseitenumschrift und größerem Mittelwappen (Saarwerden). GOLD. Sehr schön +.'' ([[German States, Cologne|archbishopric of Cologne]], Frederick III of Saarwerden, 1371-1414, undated goldgulden, circa 1400, Bonn mint. With inscription at the beginning of the reverse and larger central coat of arms (Saarwerden). Very fine or better.)"</blockquote> The archbishop issued eight different goldgulden during his long reign, of which this one is common.
