This specimen was lot 1330 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Cambodia|CAMBODIA]]: Ang Duong, 1840-1860, AR tical, CS1208 (1847), small and thick type, hamza bird, native sun chopmark on reverse, minor natural edge defect, lightly cleaned, XF, ex Hans Mondorf Collection. Struck at the Udong Mint with dies prepared at the Heaton Mint in Birmingham ca. 1856." Another variety ([[Cambodia CS 1208 tical KM-37|KM 37]]) is noted with a thin flan and weighed 14.21 g. Quarter and eighth ticals were also struck along with smaller denominations in billon. Cambodia was colonized by the French in the 1860's and incorporated into French Indochina in the 1880's, thwarting the development of Cambodian coinage.
