This specimen was lot 529 in Künker sale 293 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €5,750 (about US$7,750 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BRAUNSCHWEIG UND LÜNEBURG, BRAUNSCHWEIG-WOLFENBÜTTEL, HERZOGTUM August der Jüngere, 1635-1666. Löser zu 4 Reichstalern 1666, Zellerfeld, auf seinen 88. Geburtstag. Mit Wertpunze. Preussag Collection (Auktion London Coin Galleries/Künker 1) 76. RR Kl. Reparaturstelle am Rand, attraktives, fast vorzügliches Exemplar. Zu seinem 88. Geburtstag ließ August der Jüngere eine ganze Serie von Schaustücken prägen, vom 1 1/2fachen bis zum 6fachen Taler. Es wurden je zwei Stempel für die größeren Löser vom 4fachen an benötigt, sowie 3 Vorderseitenstempel und 2 Rückseitenstempel für die kleineren Löser bis zum 3fachen. Die Stücke waren so beliebt, daß die kleineren am Ende des 17. Jahrhunderts zweimal nachgeprägt wurden.''
