This specimen was lot 2285 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €1,700 (about US$2,339 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Joseph I., 1705-1711. 1/8 Dukat 1707, Wien. GOLD. RR Min. gewellt, vorzüglich. Aus der Sammlung Kommerzialrat Dr. Herbert Wenzel, Wien. Exemplar der Auktion Münzen und Medaillen AG 15, Basel 1955, Nr. 536.'' ([[Austria|Holy Roman Empire]], Joseph I, 1705-11, eighth ducat of 1707, Vienna mint. Very rare, slightly wavy, extremely fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1707 only. The double "MM" mintmark is for engraver Matthias Mittermayer. It was accompanied by a quarter ducat ([[Austria 1707-MM 1/4 ducat Fr-343|Fr-343]]).
