This specimen was lot 3412 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €5,000 (about US$6,739 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''RÖMISCH-DEUTSCHES REICH, Leopold I. 1657-1705. Dukat o. J. Hall. Geharnischtes Brustbild r. mit Lorbeerkranz//Gekröntes, vierfeldiges Wappen mit Mittelschild, umher Ordenskette. GOLD. RR Fast vorzüglich.'' (Holy Roman Empire, Leopold I, 1657-1705, undated ducat, Hall mint. Obverse: armored, laureate bust; reverse: crowned, quartered arms with Order of the Golden Fleece around. Rare, about extremely fine.)"</blockquote> While this rare type is not dated, we assign it to the 1680's or later from the style of the bust.
