This specimen was lot 43198 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $7,200. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "ISLAMIC KINGDOMS. Almoravid. Dinar, AH 537 (1142/3). Seville (Ishbiliya) Mint. Ali Bin Yusuf. NGC MS-63. A lovely Mint State example, offering a bold strike and glittering luster." Other mints included Tlemecen, Badajoz, Valencia, Algeciras, Granada, Malaga, Murcia, Almeria and others. Ali Bin Yusuf (r. 1106-43) was the fifth caliph of the Almoravids. His attacks on Toledo, Barcelona and Coimbra, tho unsuccessful, represented the maximum extent of Almoravid domination in [[Spain]]. Their empire collapsed in 1147 under Almohad attacks.
