This specimen was lot 1836 in Jean Elsen sale 162 (Brussels, June 2025), where it sold for €130 (about US$180 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''BELGIQUE, Royaume, Léopold II (1865-1909), Cupro-nickel 5 centimes, 1901 FR. Type MICHAUX. Dupriez 1362.'' (kingdom of [[Belgium]], Leopold II, 1865-1909, copper-nickel five centimes of 1901, French legends, Michaux type. Uncirculated.)"</blockquote> The SCWC lists the following five centimes for 1901:

* KM 40: French text, small lion;
* KM 44: French text, large lion;
* KM 45: Flemish text, large lion;
* KM 46: French text, with hole.

This type was struck 1901-03 and is common, altho the 1901 is somewhat scarce.
