This specimen was lot 1948 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 150 (about US$198 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''5 Mark 1908. München. Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön.'' ([[Germany]], duchy of Saxe-Meiningen, five mark of 1908, Munich mint, very fine to good very fine.)"</blockquote> This is perhaps the most common of the few five mark issued by the duke. The gold issues of this locale are also scanty and rare.
