The first specimen was lot 2767 in Sincona sale 26 (Zürich, October 2015), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Nurnberg, Taler 1765. Gutes sehr schön'' ([[Germany]], city of Nurnberg, thaler of 1765, good very fine.)"</blockquote> This specimen was later offered as lot 2314 in Sincona sale 33 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$143 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[2]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Nurnberg, City, Taler 1765. Gutes sehr schön.'' ([[Germany]], city of Nuremberg, thaler of 1765, Good very fine.)"</blockquote> This type was also struck with the portrait of Francis I, Joseph II's father and predecessor as Holy Roman emperor. It is scarce.
