This specimen was lot 1411 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''Vereinstaler 1860. Hannover Sehr schön-vorzüglich.'' (kingdom of Hannover, union thaler of 1860, very fine to extremely fine.)"</blockquote> This type was minted in substantial numbers 1857-66. In 1866, Hannover was swallowed up by Prussia and the coinage ended.
