This specimen was lot 2063 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,700 CHF (about US$2,466 including buyers' fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''RDR / ÖSTERREICH, Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. 4 Dukaten 1865 A, Wien. Sehr schön. Kratzer und Randfehler.'' ([[Austria|empire of Austria]], Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, quadruple ducat of 1865, Vienna mint. Very Fine, Scratches and edge nicks.)"</blockquote> This type was struck at Vienna (mintmark "A") 1860-65 and at Venice 1864-65. The Vienna issue is expensive but available and the Venice product is rare.
