This specimen was lot 1975 in Sincona sale 6 (Zürich, May 2012), where it sold for 550 CHF (about US$677 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''RDR/ÖSTERREICH Rudolf II. 1576-1612. Taler 1607, Prag. Geharnischtes Brustbild nach rechts. Rv. Gekrönter Doppeladler mit gekröntem Wappen auf der Brust. Kl. Schrötlingsr. und Prägeschwäche. Sehr schön.'' (Austria, Rudolf II, 1576-1612, thaler of 1607, Prague mint. Obverse: armored bust to right; reverse: crowned double-headed eagle with shield on breast, very fine.)"</blockquote>  This type was struck 1603-11 and is scarce. The SCWC has filed this type under [[Bohemia]] but we have followed tradition and placed this under [[Austria]]. A klippe version of this thaler also exists but is rare.
