This specimen was lot 1859 in Sincona sale 66 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 1,400 CHF (about US$1,843 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''HEILIGES ROMISCH REICH, Joseph II. 1765-1790. 2 Souverain d'or 1784 A, Wien. Seltener Jahrgang. Sehr schön-vorzüglich.'' ([[Austria]], Joseph II, 1765-90, double souverain d'or of 1784, Vienna mint, Rare date, Very fine-extremely fine.)"</blockquote> This type is filed under the [[Austria, Austria-Netherlands|Austrian Netherlands]], an area which is now [[Belgium]] and Luxembourg. Besides Brussels, similar coins are known from Vienna, Günzburg, Kremnitz, [[Milan 1800-M sovrano Fr-741a|Milan]] and Hall. The type was struck 1781-89 and previous ''souverains d'or'' date back to the reign of [[Austrian Netherlands 1767(a) souverain d'or Fr-137|Maria Theresa]].
