This specimen was lot 2636 in Sincona sale 80 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 2,800 CHF (about US$3,356 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "ITALY | Asti, Ludovico XII di Francia, 1498-1515. Parpagliola o. J. Rare. Extremely fine." This coin was struck by the king of [[France]] during one of his periods of occupation of northern Italy. Asti, later part of the [[Italy, Sardinia|duchy of Savoy]], divided the marquisate of Montferrat into two pieces. The parpagliola is obscure, but seems to have been a base silver coin worth 2 soldi and 6 denari occasionally struck in Savoy and Milan.
