This specimen was lot 2129 in Sincona sale 77 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$97 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''GERMANY | Bavaria. Karl Theodor, 1777-1799. 20 Kreuzer 1779, München. NGC MS64. Prachtvolle Erhaltung.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Bavaria|electorate of Bavaria]], Charles Theodore, 1777-99, twenty kreuzer of 1779, Munich mint. Uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"</blockquote> This type was struck 1778-99 and is common in circulated condition. A similar type was struck at Amberg ([[Bavaria 1778-A 20 kreuzer|KM 557.2]]) with an "A" mintmark; these are rather scarcer.
