This specimen was lot 3351 in Sincona sale 91 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$859 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"''SCHWEIZ Luzern, Achtelgulden (5 Schilling) 1725, Luzern. Variante mit Wertzahl auf Revers. Selten. Gutes sehr schön.'' ([[Switzerland]], [[Switzerland, Lucern|canton of Luzern]], one gulden (5 schilling) of 1725, Luzern mint, variety with the date on the reverse. Rare, Good very fine.)"</blockquote> This denomination was struck in 1725 in two styles: KM 56 (date on reverse, shown here) or [[Luzern 1725-B 1/8 gulden KM-57|KM 57]] (date on obverse). The KM 57 also has a beade circle around the monogram.
