This specimen was lot 139 in Sincona sale 88 (Zurich, May 2024), where it sold for 600 CHF (about US$793 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, <blockquote>"[[Iran|IRAN]], Qajar Dynasty, Agha Mohammad Shah, 1193-1211 AH (1779-1797). 1/4 Toman 1203 AH (1789), Rasht Mint. ''Selten;'' Rare. NGC MS62. Purchased from A. Shams, Frankfurt, in 1984."</blockquote> This type was also struck at Kashan (KM 524a.2), Mazandaran (KM 524a.3) and Isfahan (KM 524a.1). Rasht is the most common mint.
