This specimen was lot 51023 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $900. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Great Britain|GREAT BRITAIN]]. Crown (5 Shillings), ND (1612-13). London Mint; mm: Tower. James I. NGC VF-25. Second coinage, third crowned bust. Obverse: Crowned and mantled bust right; Reverse: Crowned coat-of-arms. Seemingly a bit conservatively graded, this wholesome specimen yields a delightful golden-yellow appearance with some enticing contrast among the devices. From the Augustana Collection." This gold crown of James' second issue was accompanied by a rose ryal ([[Great Britain 1605-06 rose ryal|Fr-230]]), angel, unite ([[Great Britain (1612-13) unite Fr-234|Fr-234]]), spur ryal ([[Great Britain (1605-06) spur ryal Fr-231|Fr-231]]), double crown ([[Great Britain (1606-07) double crown|Fr-235]]), half angel ([[Great Britain (1613-15) 1/2 angel Fr-233|Fr-233]]) and half crown ([[Great Britain (1616-17) 1/2 crown Fr-237|Fr-237]]). With the accession of James I we drop "England" as the country name and adopt the current "Great Britain."
