This specimen was lot 29804 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $646.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Wurttemberg. Eberhard Ludwig gold 1/2 Carolin 1732 VF25 NGC, KM321, Fr-3585. From a fleeting three-year series, this selection features the bust of Eberhard Ludwig with crowned coat of arms in an order collar. Antique patina pleases on this selection, with wear that equally affects the bust and highest points, while handling in the way of faint wisps extends across the surfaces. A rarely-offered type, still very desirable in this heavily circulated quality."
