This specimen was lot 1331 in Jean Elsen sale 137 (Brussels, June 2018), where it sold for €80 (about US$111 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ITALIE, VENISE, Paolo Renier (1779-1789), AR ducato, s.d. (1779-1781). Sigle AF (Alvise Foscarini). D/ Le doge agenouillé devant saint Marc qui lui confie sa bannière. R/ Lion de saint Marc deb. à g. Pap. 816, 43; Paolucci 26. 22,45 g Défauts de flan sur la tranche. Très Beau. (duchy of Venice, Paolo Renier, 1779-89, undated silver ducat, mintmaster AF. Obverse: the doge kneels before St. Mark standing and facing left. Planchet defects, very fine.)"
(1779-81)-AF ducato, KM 706, Dav-1567, 23.40 g, .826 fine silver, 40-41 mm diameter, struck with various moneyers 1779-89. VF $100.
