This specimen was lot 22623 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $998.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Tuscany. 2 Paoli (16 Crazie), 1791. Ferdinando III (1791-1801). PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. C-35; Gig-43; Mont-146. RARE one year type. Crisply struck from dies that only show the lightest wear. Attractive medium cabinet toning with strong underlying luster. Golden blue hues can be noted when turned in the light and there are a few flecks of original untoned lustrous surfaces around the more bold lettering. A splendid example difficult to obtain in this choice grade."
