This specimen was lot 21554 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $2,232.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "TRANSYLVANIA. Ducat, 1625. Gabriel Bethlen (1613-29). PCGS Genuine--Cleaning, AU Details Secure Holder. Fr-367; Resch-282; KM-160. Lightly cleaned with a bold clear portrait, sharp effigies and crisp legends. Glowing lustrous color with enough remaining tone within the protected areas to give the design some contrast and pop when viewed. An attractive example overall, with choice rims and smooth surfaces that are free of major marks."
