This specimen was lot 31609 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Confederation Specimen Franc 1911-B SP65 PCGS, Bern mint, KM 24, HMZ-21204u. A sparkling pure-white example, with superb cameo contrast and minor spotting. Rare as a Specimen and one of the finer pieces extant. From the Redwood Collection, Part II."
m. 1,200,000, a better date but not rare (Unc $95, 1967 Unc $7).
