This specimen was lot 31605 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $705. The catalog description[1] noted, "Confederation Franc 1877-B MS65 PCGS, Bern mint, KM 24, HMZ-21204c. A splendid example of this rare date in Gem preservation with a fully original, enchanting palette of multicolored toning on both sides that includes shades of blue, gold and olive. As the sole MS65 listed in the PCGS census, a coin that will certainly be avidly pursued. From the Redwood Collection, Part II."
